Greetings. I want to print an alpha character.
For this, IIUC, I need the Symbol encoding and then: (\141) show
I've previously only used the ISOLatin1Encoding encoding:
/Times-Roman findfont dup length dict begin
{ 1 index /FID ne { def } { pop pop } ifelse } forall
/Encoding ISOLatin1Encoding def currentdict
end /Times-Roman-ISO exch definefont pop
Could someone point me at an example of what I need to change
to use Symbol instead of ISOLatin1Encoding ?
Regards, Peter

Sorry for the noise... Regards, Peter -- Peter Billam www.pjb.com.au www.pjb.com.au/comp/contact.html

For robustness on other machines, consider /alpha glyphshow
