Hi, When converting from within Powerpoint 2010 to PDF using PDF creator 2.0 (which is I believe just a wrapper around gnuscript) the resulting PDF for the example below has fine lines in the colored blocks, like some sort of aliasing defect. Zooming in or out in the PDF changes the pattern of those lines. The blocks have a transparency of 50%. http://saf.bio.caltech.edu/pub/pickup/pdfcreator_glitch.ppt http://saf.bio.caltech.edu/pub/pickup/pdfcreator_glitch.pdf (These are retrieve only links - no browsing in the directory.) When the same conversion was performed with Acrobat XI pro the blocks remained solid. Acrobat used the PDF 1.5 standard, PDF Creator the 1.4 standard, so it could be that, some difference in the handling of transparency between those two standards. However, I don't see any setting in the PDF Creator interface to change which PDF standard it is using. Is there a way to get PDF Creator to do transparency without the dithering (or whatever it used)? Thanks, David Mathog
