Not exactly a language question, per se.
I'm looking for a "psutils" like
  psquadrant -q 1 entirepage.ps upperleftquadrant.ps
that doubles the height and width of the upper-left quadrant
and fits it in the original bounding box.
That is
  psquadrant -q 1 entirepage.ps upperleftquadrant.ps
  psquadrant -q 2 entirepage.ps upperrightquadrant.ps
  psquadrant -q 3 entirepage.ps lowerleftquadrant.ps
  psquadrant -q 4 entirepage.ps lowerrightquadrant.ps
will print four pages that you can assemble into
one big version of the entirepage. Not quite a psresize
or epsffit. Anything like that? Thanks,

Perhaps you want "poster"?

Supposedly part of linux distributions....

Thanks, Ross. That works perfectly. Isn't on my slackware 14.0
linux box, but download/unzip/make took about five seconds.

To print one quadrant on each of four lettersize pages,
I had to generate a 15"x15" postscript image, i.e.,
   %%BoundingBox: 0 0 1080 1080
(which the poster-generating program can fortunately
adjust easily), and then run
   ./poster -mLetter -s1 poster.ps > quadrants.ps
which isn't much extra trouble.

But I can't figure out how to get rid of those pesky
hash marks at each corner and Grid(1,1), etc on each page.
I see that
       " (Grid \\( ) show\n"
       " rowcount strg cvs show\n"
       " ( , ) show\n"
       " colcount strg cvs show\n"
       " ( \\)) show\n"
in poster.c, and am guessing it's responsible.
But I barely know postscript, not well enough to remove it.
I tried a few times, but no joy. Must be easily doable,
I suppose, but apparently not easily enough for me :).

Sorry, never mind, my bad. I messed up something silly.
Just %%comment out everything below his "%% print the cutmarks\n"
and "%% print the page label\n", leaving just the showpage at
the end of his tileepilog. There probably ought to be a
runtime -switch for that.
