| Subject | Jaws RIP on a recent operating system |
| From | Terry Burton <terry.burton@gmail.com> |
Hi. I was hoping to run some PostScript through the Jaws RIP (which I haven't used before) for testing purposes. There's a lack of recent information available so I'm assuming that the simplest way to access the Jaws PostScript RIP is in the Jaws PDF Creator product? This appears to have been succeeded by gDoc PDF Creator (which I've purchased) and as far as I can tell this no longer supports the PostScript -> PDF workflow, i.e. the PostScript RIP is no longer present. After trying various compatibility modes it appears that the older Jaws products cannot easily be made to work with 64-bit Windows 10 / Linux (Wine). Before I spend any more effort on this is anybody willing to describe their working Jaws/gDoc PS RIP setup? If nothing is forthcoming then I'll follow up via Global Graphic's support. Thanks!
