In article <occoam$qpb$1@dont-email.me>, jszhao@yeah.net says... > Thank you very much for the explanation. However, it's not easy to > rebuild Ghostscript on Windows. I don't see why not. Get hold of a copy of Visual Studio from Microsoft; the community edition can be downlaoded for free, and Ghostscript qualifies for using it, as its open source. Open the ghostpdl.sln file, and allow VS to update it. Then just compile the Ghostscript project. If you prefer command lines, then open the VS command shell from the start menu, navigate to the ghostpdl directory and "nmake -f psi/msvc.mak" > Do you have any plan or option to > provide the Ghostscript that doesn't use the ROM file system? No. As I said before, you need not even rebuild Ghostscript. You *will* need the source code, because that's where the resource files can be found. Once you have thosse file locally, modify them as you see fit and then use the -I switch to tell Ghostscript to 'Include' those files. if you read the documentation here: https://ghostscript.com/doc/9.21/Use.htm#Finding_files then you will see that Ghostscript will search for resrouce files in the Included (-I) directories before it searches the ROM file system. If its too much work to specify the directory on the command line every time, then you can set the GS_LIB environment variable, which *still* gets searched before the ROM file system. Ken
