Yes there is - I see Chuck already posted it.  It took me a bit longer
to find it - maybe 30 seconds.

But even if there weren't a support site for it, this would not be the
right place to ask.  Just because ZWAMP has PHP as part of its
installation does not mean every question about ZWAMP is a PHP question.

Correct.   But I do not see how that matters.  My question was aimed at the
*users* of PHP (possibly also ZWAMP users), not the language itself.

If you think that that is not allowed* than that is your problem, not mine.

*please provide proof of being allowed to gouvern this newsgroup. :-)

Have you had a look at the context menu of the systray icon?  I can
imagine that it offers some way to shutdown the server.

Thanks for the suggestion.

To my embarrassment I must confess that I rediscovered that systray icon
just this morning (I normally start zwamp from the command line).   Right
clicking shows me options to cleanly terminate zwamp (including its
"virtual" Z: drive), as well as restarting the apache server that is, I
assume,  represented by the console window I was closing (yay!).

A bit odd though that although I can start zwamp from the command line it
doesn't seem to expose(?) any way (like a "/quit" argument) to terminate
itself ....
