I am just looking at bootstrap 3, and I notice this is the somewhat uniform web 
design you find for some years now.

And internally - what a big mess of different techniques thrown in.

Is this the future of web design?

Are you talking about <http://getbootstrap.com/>?  What has it to do
with PHP?

Yes, I should have linked it. It's about environment.

I thought someone might want to talk about something else than saying the error file 
not found means the file is not there.

But if you/people don't know it, it tells me something already.

What makes you think that I did't know Bootstrap?  And what would it
tell you, if I didn't?  Have you even considered the possibility that I
might be a PHP backend developer?

Actually, I had a look at Bootstrap quite a while ago; I stopped as soon
as read that it *requires* jQuery.  I'm not surprised that you claimed:

Wordpress and E107 (and other cms'ses?) are jumping on it.

There seems to be one advantage: they have a variable layout auto-adapting to many 
screen sizes.

Right?

But if you change a bit more in the supplied templates, you have to recompile- right?

BTW what the less compiler does, I did (partly) with m4.
