Hello all, I've got ZWAMP 1.1.2 which I would like to be able to shut down in such a way that I can restart it later. When I execute ZWAMP.EXE it does open a console window, but when I close that window (the "X" button in the upper-right or ctrl-c) I cannot restart zwamp (til after a reboot), as a localhost connection to a server than seems to be gone. Also, after termination the tasklist shows a few related programs to (still) be running, but killing those processes before re-executing ZWAMP.EXE doesn't help either. So, in short: How do I cleany shutdown ZWAMP 1.1.2 Regards, Rudy Wieser

Richard, > You are unable to use your server and had exhausted your resources. > You finally resorted to this stagnant backwater of a newsgroup. That > sounds desperate. Again, Lol, whut ? Not being able to use my server ? Wrong. Though I sam porting the idea it could be handled a bit easier. Using this "Stagnant backwater of a newsgroup" ? If you think this newsgroup is "stagnant" I can only conclude you have not looked at any other newsgroup. And "sounding desperate" because I'm looking for something *more convenient* than rebooting a computer ? Really ? :-) > I expect nothing from you except that if you continue to > post here that you stop top-posting. And I expect people to refrain from making assholes from themselves by demanding that everyone do exactly what they think other people should do. Also #1: You have no clue what top-posting is, otherwise you would not have tried to claim mine is. And by the way: although I think bottom-posting is the pits (I have to skip lots of stuff I've already read in previous messages to encounter a few lines of new response), I do not think its my right to demand from someone to post in the by me preferred way. I *could* try to explain my preferred way of posting, but if you cannot glean that from my posts I do not think that would make any difference ... Also #2: Nice try to change the conversation into something else altogether. You really seem to be out for a fight. Go take a hike bub. An unfortunate side effect from having RequestPolicy running (denying anything but content but from the same domain the webpage comes from) seems to be that in this case that "help" link became rather invisible between all the other stuff on the page. After allowing fsdn.com content too (read: a CSS file) the link was rather prominently displayed. I can understand how you would be wondering how I could have missed it (I would be too for that matter). So, the "restart apache server from the commandline" thread you are refering to just says that the "zwamp.exe" process should be killed, after which it can be restarted. Too bad that you didn't read (in my initial message!) that I already done that (killing several ZWAMP related processes), and it didn't work.
