Sorry, it's a spelling mistake..
It is props and it is from the code Alvaro supplied:


$props = parse_ini_file($prop_file, FALSE, INI_SCANNER_RAW); 
return array_key_exists($prop_key, $props) ? trim($props[$prop_key]) : FALSE;
