People seem to be making money from FOSS. How is done? If I write an open-source programming language, and build a user-community, how do I keep wife and children alive? Where does the money come from? -- Bruce

I guess that nobody makes any money by writing FOSS these days. The money probably comes from support contracts, contract work centered around the FOSS, maybe giving lectures and writing books. The latter two alone will not keep you alive, though. (Tried, failed.) -- Nils M Holm < n m h @ t 3 x . o r g > www.t3x.org
