That would make the above equasion even more true. But for Java people straying on this NG, the equasion is clear enough. ============================= Even after making a distinction between the Javanese language and Sundanese, the Javanese script falls into 5 groups: Old Javanese, Middle Javanese, New Javanese, Modern Javanese. There also is a large difference in language when speaking to higher and to lower class people, using different words for the same subject, these words are called "honorifics" and "humilifics" in English. Some of these words have become ordinary Dutch words. I love irking Thomas. -- Evertjan. The Netherlands. (Please change the x'es to dots in my emailaddress)

AFAIK, Javanese characters aren't in any of the Unicode character sets, right? Cause I always wanted to make the Honocoroko table without using images. Those characters are similar to Thailand characters. PS) Do you understand (some?) Javanese language too?

Just an aside while catching up on my reading, but the Javanese glyphs were, according to Wiki, added to the standard in 2009 and if included in the typeface you are using would be A980-A9DF with 5 reserved points toward the upper end of the range. There is an open source font that incorporates the Javanese glyphs, <https://sites.google.com/site/jawaunicode/main-page>. There may be another at <https://sites.google.com/site/jawaunicode/main-page>. The page in a language that I do not understand and that Google translate cannot manage so I can't tell you anything useful about it.
