I have a html table that represent 8 column with a time in each column. It
could look like the wat below.
Now to my question what html control or images is a nice and appropriate to
use when I want to shift the time table window to the right or left ?
I hope that somebody might have done something similar and have a sense of
design.

Looks simple enough. Nice styling has some challenges, but they are
really not a JavaScript issue, are they?

Pardon? Which "time table window", and why would it be shifted?

Do you mean that the time table has actually more columns and needs to
be scrolled horizontally? This sounds like a job for CSS, not
JavaScript. Assuming the table really needs to be that wide, but this
cannot be evaluated without seeing e.g. a document of the intended
purpose and use and preferably a prototype, too.

I have eight column but just to simply this lets say we have only four
columns to avoid wrapping around + the first column that show the name of
the bridge.
This example shows that a ship named Eken has booked a bridge called
Götaälvbron in the following way
It will start to open at 07:30 and will be fully opened at 08:00.
At 08:00 can she ship Eken start to pass the bridge.
At 08:30 has the ship Eken passed the bridge.
At 08:30 will the bridge start to close. At 09:00 will the bridge be fully
closed.
If we for example want to see how the bookings for a bridge is at 11:00 or
even further away for example 14:00
Or earlier for example 06:00 or even 04:00.
I must have some suitable html control or image.
I think that a good choice is to use two small image arrow that points to
the right and to the left.
The small image(icon) that has an arrow to the right is positioned to the
right on the screen and
the small image(icon) that has an arrow to the left is positioned to the
left on the screen.
What about my suggestion ?

  ------ -----------------------------------------------------------------------
Götaälvbron | 07:00 | 08:00 | 09:00 |
10:00
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
                                  | Ö | Eken| C |

If the timeline is multi-row, you could use a fixed width DIV container,
then have child-DIVs of inline-block style for each time-mark where they'll
wrap to the next row if they're too long to fit in a single row. Append,
delete, and inserting a time-mark would make other child-DIVs be shifted
automatically. Just like a long text in a DIV with limited width.

I don't really understand what you mean here.
