I need a map for a river in Sweden called Götaälv and here I want to set 
small dot in location determined by my longitude and latitude.
It could be several dots because each dot is a ship on the river.
Can somebody tell me where to find a good example for this.

What has this to do with Javascript?
Any good library and a leaking fountain-pen will do.

Please Tony, you have been told before, this NG is not a free for all,
