There seem to be jquery groups around,
where you could better ask jquery questions,
overhere the use of jquery is not held in high esteem by most of us.

The typical use of jquery to mask "javascript skill is very low"
is exemplary.

Why not first learn plain Javascript and it's debugging
before trying bad javascript libraries?

===

Why should a date-picker pass data, that is the task of form submission,
or a seperate javascript construct.

Where you put the results of a form with date-data-content has nothing to
do with how those date-data were aquired. It could be that you need the
date serverside, or bounce it back with Ajax, or use it on another or the
reloaded same page, that all depends on the task you want to implement.

You could even send the date-data-value to the server as part of a
javascript image-preload request, if you do not need any response to the
clientside screen.

The datepicker alone won't help (unless it has some fancy XHR
functionality). Either a form has to be submitted after you picked the
date (manually or via JS won't matter), or you trigger an XMLHttpRequest
to transfer your data.
