| Subject | mootools 1.12: fx.slide doesn't show the div's content |
| Message-ID | <jveafe$rpu$1@dont-email.me> |
Hello,
I've got a problem using fx.slide with mootools 1.12 (I can't use a newer version because of the CMS used). The SlideIn animation works but it doesn't show the text put in div selected. I know it's not due to my older version of that framework because it does what is expected here: http://jsbin.com/ewasa/1/edit
my code:
js:
var descItems= $$('div.ja-slide-desc');
if($('activeDesc') !== null)
$('activeDesc').unwrap();
$$('div.ja-slide-desc').removeProperty('id');
descItems[currentIndex].set({ id: 'activeDesc' });
var descItem = $('activeDesc');
var mySlide = new Fx.Slide('activeDesc', {
mode: 'vertical',
duration: 1000,
});
var sliderHide = mySlide.hide();
var sliderIn = mySlide.slideIn();
descItem.addEvent('load', sliderHide);
descItem.addEvent('complete', sliderIn);
css:
.ja-slidewrap_quartz2 .ja-slide-item div {
background-color: #000;
width: 200px;
right: 29px;
bottom: 70px;
position: absolute;
z-index: 2;
}
.ja-slidewrap_quartz2 .ja-slide-item .ja-slide-desc {
width: 200px;
height: 60px;
right: 29px;
bottom: 70px;
float: right;
position: absolute;
z-index: 3;
color: #fff;
font-family: "GeoLight", serif;
font-size: 22px;
}
html:
<div class="ja-slide-item" style="width: 995px; height: 330px; visibility: visible; zoom: 1; opacity: 0.3; ">
<img src="http://2012.inextcom.fr/images/resized/images/stories/slideshow/3_stereoluxsite_995_330.jpg" alt="1 2 3 CHECK!!">
<div class="ja-slide-desc" style="margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-top: 0px; ">blablablabla
</div>
</div>
Have you any idea why it doesn't work ?
Best Regards,
gnoirzox

Yes; it is not supposed to work. MooTools is junk, and so is your posting style. <http://jibbering.com/faq/#posting> PointedEars -- When all you know is jQuery, every problem looks $(olvable).

Shouldn't that be just
.ja-slidewrap_quartz2 .ja-slide-item div {
Analogous for the 2nd selector.

Yes, it should. However, a long-standing bug in your Thunderbird prevents
you from seeing the code as posted (at least upon quoting it), which is
syntactically correct as it has only one dot at the front.

Interesting. My TB (also 14.0 on Ubuntu 12.04) doesn't show this bug.
Both the OP and a quoted OP don't display an erroneous second dot.

Thanks for pointing this out -- I wasn't aware of this bug.

I'm using TB 14.0 on WinXP, and the duplicated dot shows up in the OP's
source code already. I'll further investigate, if there's any solution
-- otherwise I'll have to switch to another newsreader.

Seems like you've disabled sending format=flowed messages, but seems you've also disabled reading such messages properly - just make sure you have: mailnews.display.disable_format_flowed_support = false (the default) -- Stanimir

Apparently it is a heisenbug; I could neither reproduce it with Icedove 10.0.5 nor find anything about it in Bugzilla. It may have to do with settings, in particular with format=flowed. I have encountered this bug years ago, before I stopped using Thunderbird as newsreader, so I do not remember if I fixed it and, if yes, how.
