Newbie here again: On http://getfirebug.com/javascript Frrebug says one can "Pause execution on any line Firebug allows you to set breakpoints, which tell the debugger to pause execution when it reaches a specific line. While execution is pause, you can see the value of any variable and inspect objects while time is frozen. To set breakpoints, just click on any line number, and a red dot will appear to indicate that the breakpoint is set. Click the red dot again to remove the breakpoint." But I can't find the listing of the webpage that has the line numbers on it, or any way to click and set a red dot or a break point. I'm doing my editing of html and Javascript with EditPad Lite, a big brother of Notepad. Thanks for any help.

Activate the "Script" tab (and reload the page), choose the script you want to debug from the dropdown, set your breakpoints. Ah, I had tried the Script tab, but when it said there were no javascript statements. This time it didn't say that. >Gregor > >> I'm doing my editing of html and Javascript with EditPad Lite, a big >> brother of Notepad. > >Yes? I thiought that might have been making a difference.
