Hi,
If I try to load an external website in an IFRAME, I get a security
error.
Google Images also use IFRAMEs and load content from external websites.
YouTube embed codes also use IFRAMEs. They do not seem to run into any
security errors.
When I use Javascript or HTML SRC attribute, I run into security errors.
Can the group shed some light to this problem.

</head>
<body>
<iframe src="http://www.google.com/search?q=hello+world"
style="width: 95%; height: 900px; "></iframe>
</body>
</html>

It seems to be a Google-specific issue. If I use Bing results, there is
no problem.

Google does not allow to open that page in an iframe from another domain. If Google Images displays content from external websites, then it means that those websites have not put restrictions in regard to (i-)framing. Google probably uses custom rules to allow (i-)framing from sources such as YouTube under certain conditions. Hope this helps, -- Bart

Serves me right for using Google results as a test page. I will use example.com henceforth. User Dorayme at comp.infosystems.www.authoring.html gave me this link http://support.google.com/customsearch/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=70345 -- Zomberi
