Peut-être window.location.protocol.indexOf('file:') > -1 pour savoir
s'il s'agit d'une copie locale de la page, mais pour vérifier qu'un
certain service web est disponible je ne vois pas d'autre solution
qu'essayer (même si t'es bien connecté, le service en question pourrait
être en panne).
