So you're arguing that PE could not have earned a degree due to his own opinion's (something neither of us can prove or disprove) yet you support JRS' comment that quality of a person's understanding of a topic is directly related to the "rating" of the institution they attended. My argument is that Thomas himself would never give a pass mark to a student who disagreed with him, and I think it highly likely that this is because he was a student in that kind of environment. >yet you support JRS' comment that quality of a person's understanding >of a topic is directly related to the "rating" of the institution they >attended. Liar.
Are you doing a Thomas and complaining that I sometimes quote only the
relevant part of a sentence ? When I do that, I *don't* move the full
stop to make it appear to be a full sentence.
As it says in the FAQ :
"Quote only relevant parts of earlier messages," ...
Get well soon,

Suppose you see an article that says : It's Monday, and it's raining. You want to say something about the day of the week and nothing about the weather. You sensibly quote just the relevant part : >It's Monday, Anything more would confuse people who would wonder what the weather has to do with it. Then someone pops up and says : Why do you insist that it's not raining ? Uh ? John -- John Harris

No, because I have not yet told you that, not even once let alone the necessary more-than-once. But I will give you a non-helpful hint - your University might have been named after a railway station that I used on my way to my first University. -- (c) John Stockton, nr London, UK. Waterloo station is a major nexus. It is probably on the path from London to any number of jumped-up polytechnics in several insignificant towns. I just realized what the problem here is. Your humour is too dry for most people to catch; that is why they take it at its mildly denigrating face value instead of groaning appropriately. More to the point, why do you not want to tell us more about your degrees? I have always assumed that your degrees are, in fact, from fairly well- respected institutions. But probably they are not directly related to "Computer Science". When I was an undergraduate, many places did not even offer CS degrees because the field of study was too much of a novelty. Likely, this applied to you as well. -- http://pages.videotron.ca/duffym/index.htm
