Exactly. I've been reading the standard up and down, looking for my
mistake. I was really perplexed, because _either_ of the operands should
have forced a string result, even with the hint for ToPrimitive for
native objects defaulting to Number. That what I was looking at wasn't
an addition at all never entered my mind. The only consolation is that
"{} + ..." is very unlikely to occur outside of an expression in a
normal program.

And exactly how many normal programs do you run across? I keep coming
across some fairly abnormal ones myself! :-)

Hi Mel,

I would just make it all one table and use css to style the gaps.

Consider using a single <table> element without any HTML borders, and
use CSS to style the bordering, etc., that you need so that it looks
like three tables.

Apologies for inadvertent belatedness; I thought that it had been sent.
