Any thoughts on how you would get your extensions installed on client
machines?  I don't know if any of them except for some experimental
Chrome versions have extension points that would allow you to load your
extensions dynamically.

How complex is the decompression algorithm?  Javascript, especially in
newer implementations, can be surprisingly quick, although mathematical
algorithms are by no means its forte.
