Assuming non-strict mode, consider this:

  b = a;

If “a” "is an object", what is “b” then?  And before you reply, consider 
this:

  /* undefined */
  a.foo

  b.foo = 42;

  /* 42 */
  a.foo

Incorrect, hasty generalization.  A computer is not required for “Thomas” to 
be a name.
