Where are javadocs for OpenJDK Hotspot 11? I can't seem to find them.

The (https://docs.oracle.com/en/java/javase/11/docs/api/index.html) looks confusing as we now have to get used to finding classes by module where (https://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/docs/api/) listed them all by package. I thought the frames was a good setup, click a package in one frame, select a class in another, see class detail in the third frame. Apparently they got rid of frames. The (https://docs.oracle.com/en/java/javase/11/docs/api/allpackages-index.html) documentation appears to have all the same classes by package without the module breakup.

They should have the same documented and supported classes and methods. They could have different undocumented and unsupported classes and methods. But I don't think they have as OpenJDK and Oracle Java is build from almost the same source code (there were a few things SUN could not open source where Redhat created replacement code). > The (https://docs.oracle.com/en/java/javase/11/docs/api/index.html) > looks confusing as we now have to get used to finding classes by > module where (https://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/docs/api/) listed them > all by package. So 11 and 8 are a bit different organized. But since 14 and 17 are going to be like 11, then you just as well get used to the 11 way. Arne

I see frames are deprecated in html5, and frames are supported in html5 as 'nested browsing contexts'. frames are gone, iframes have new tags, what's the difference? https://www.w3.org/TR/2009/WD-html5-20090423/browsers.html https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_frame.asp https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_iframe.asp

Correct - and in case you didn't notice, FINALLY the API docs have a search box, which works very well. Even though I still use Java 8 at our work, I use Java 11 docs simply because of the search ability. This is something that should have been in Java 1.0! :-) Regards, Graeme
