It is the case where Oracle is suing Google for copyright infringement
because Android us using the Java API.

2010 - Oracle sued
2012 - District Court says that API's are not copyrightable
2014 - Appeals Court says that API's are copyrightable
2016 - District Court says that it was fair use
2018 - Appeals Court says that it was not fair use

And now we are waiting to see whether the fair use question
goes to the Supreme Court or whether the case goes back to
District Court to determine damages.

So Java Oracle helped Google Android?
Why not argue Google Android helped Java Oracle,

an almost dead company with a
useless bloathed database product.

I think you are correct.

But I don't think the argument would work in
court.
