I'm looking into a tablet that can run a full Java app. We already have a Windows domain with Active Directory so I'm guessing we'll need a Windows Pro OS. Anything we should be concerned about there running webstart, or should that basically run the same as a desktop, aside from any tablet 'touch' events?

My first guess is the MS Surface Book (cheapest model $799 with m3 processor and no keyboard).

Side note not Java related we'd like to look into a security device for the tablet, so someone could walk around a warehouse with it but not take it out of the building.

A Surface tablet with Windows should run a normal Java SE for Windows.

And Java SE Embedded should in theory be able to run on an Android
tablet. I would check before buying.
