Hi there.

I'm looking for a simple and complete Java http server, which can be used for a website which serves content from a database, as well as static content.

And some of this content can be communicated using Ajax.

Any suggestions on what I could use?

Thanks,

Morten

Serious usage:

Jetty embedded

http://www.eclipse.org/jetty/documentation/current/embedding-jetty.html

Really simple usage:

com.sun.net.httpserver.HttpServer

https://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/docs/jre/api/net/httpserver/spec/com/sun/net/httpserver/HttpServer.html

http://www.programcreek.com/java-api-examples/index.php?api=com.sun.net.httpserver.HttpServer

Arne

Yeah, that was something I considered but it looked very bulky. With that page though, things are looking simple enough to setup.

It's also a Debian package so easy to maintain WRT security.

Hmm, yes. Well I don't have the time to implement whatever feature that may be required so the first option looks best.

Thanks for that first link. :)

Regards,

Morten
