Hi:

I know JAVA EE is very powerful and popular web development tool. But I am curious how about other web development tools, for example:

Ruby on Rails
JavaScript
PHP
C#
ant maybe others

Thank you very much.

Each one has its own use and satisfies a different need. A comparison
is worthless without knowing the project in which it would be used.

And many projects use a combination of two or more.

I mean the market dominance. If someone wants to become a web developer and asks me about the suggestion which framework to take...

I know JAVA EE is very powerful and many very good jobs out there. But it is too complicated for a beginner and many times probably it is over-kill to use JAVA EE for setting up a web page. I believe Ruby on Rails needs much less development work and maintenance than Java EE. So actually I intend to recommend a new comer to take Ruby on Rails. Somebody next door was saying that Ruby on Rails is becoming less popular now. This is why I come here to get some opinions.

Thank you.

What to learn to find a job? Good luck with that.
The last job I recall interviewing for they wanted an expert in Swing Java and JQuery and JSP... You might also need to know Spring, AJAX, JavaScript, and a few more things...
