Even since I switched over to Java 1.8.0 I have been getting a lot of HTTP transport error: java.net.UnknownHostException: The odd thing is I can probe the site fine for other pages, then after this error it is able to probe again without error. It literally sounds like the site disappears for a short time. Any hints on the problem? -- Roedy Green Canadian Mind Products http://mindprod.com "A great lathe operator commands several times the wage of an average lathe operator, but a great writer of software code is worth 10,000 times the price of an average software writer." ~ Bill Gates

All I am doing is a GET to a series of pages from some online store to check availability. -- Roedy Green Canadian Mind Products http://mindprod.com "A great lathe operator commands several times the wage of an average lathe operator, but a great writer of software code is worth 10,000 times the price of an average software writer." ~ Bill Gates
