#32579 — Why is my class not enhanced

FromCecil Westerhof <Cecil@decebal.nl>
Date2015-09-11 18:59 +0200
SubjectWhy is my class not enhanced
Message-ID<871te4uc1s.fsf@Equus.decebal.nl>
Still busy with getting to grips with JPA. I am getting further, but
there are still some hurdles to take.

I can create an EntityMangerFactory and an EntityManger. But when I do
an em.find I get:
    org.apache.openjpa.persistence.ArgumentException: The type "class nl.part1.part2.part3.NotifyMessage" has not been enhanced.

But I have in my pom.xml:
    <plugin>
        <groupId>org.apache.openjpa</groupId>
        <artifactId>openjpa-maven-plugin</artifactId>
        <version>2.2.0</version>
        <configuration>
            <includes>nl/part1/part2/part3/**/*.class</includes>
        </configuration>
        <executions>
            <execution>
                <id>enhancer</id>
                <phase>process-classes</phase>
                <goals>
                    <goal>enhance</goal>
                </goals>
            </execution>
        </executions>
        <dependencies>
            <dependency>
                <groupId>org.apache.openjpa</groupId>
                <artifactId>openjpa</artifactId>
                <version>${version.openjpa}</version>
            </dependency>
        </dependencies>
    </plugin>

So I would expect my classes to be enhanced, but they are not. What
could be the problem?

I also tried to change:
            <includes>nl/part1/part2/part3/**/*.class</includes>
to:
            <includes>nl/part1/part2/part3/*.class</includes>
but that did not help.

I don't know OpenJPA, but a wild guess:

<includes>**/nl/part1/part2/part3/**/*.class</includes>

No, that does not make a difference. Thanks anyway.
