First you need to find out which Spring projects you need.

You could start like:

1) Spring Core

This is a DI framework.

So you:
* read a little about DI as concept
* read a little about Spring DI
* write a small Java SE application that use Spring DI

2A) Spring MVC for web application

Spring MVC can be used as MVC web framework similar to Struts and other.

So you:
* read a little about Java web applications
* read a little about Tomcat
* read a little about Spring MVC for web applications
* you write a small Java web app using Spring MVC and deploy on Tomcat

2B) Spring MVC for web service

Spring MVC can also be used as web service framework.

So you:
* read a little about RESTFul web services
* read a little about Spring MVC for web services
* you write a small Java web service using Spring MVC and deploy on Tomcat
* you write a Java SE client program

3) Spring Boot

Spring Boot is a framework for creating micro-services (a Java SE
application with embedded Tomcat pr Jetty to run web service).

* read a little about micro-services
* read a little about Spring Boot
* convert the web service from 2B to Spring Boot
