If the class implements the JDBC standard interfaces it will need
a close method to compile.

But even if it does not then I will recommend adding a close
method *and* implement AutoCloseable.

It is the right way to handle database connections.

In some contexts like SE app with embedded DB it is not likely
to make a difference, but it is still a good to do things the right
way. To maintain good habits. And to prevent disasters if the
context suddenly change (that sometimes happens).
