Are the same.
Which seems not to be 100% true, I get:

java -XX:+PrintFlagsFinal -version | grep GC
uintx ParallelGCThreads                         = 4

java -XX:+UseSerialGC -XX:+PrintFlagsFinal -version | grep GC
uintx ParallelGCThreads                         = 0
