Plus, there are neither arrays nor parsing involved.  From the code it 
seems he wants to use a data structure as index into the first one.  The 
thing is, we do not know where the index numbers come from.  Maybe they 
could be stored in a static array because they never change.  Without 
context the code does not make much sense to me.
