I wrote a better explanation of what I wanted to accomplish as a reply
on my original post.

The non-re-sizeable is on purpose.

Depends on the original input. The height and width are both divide by
eight because I want to see the complete picture.

No, the cropped image is unscaled. Your original picture is blurry,
but you did not see that because it was scaled down.
