| Subject | may I add a new WAR file to the web service server to expand its service methods? |
| From | John <xsli2@yahoo.com> |
Hi: We use third party framework. The frame work uses SOAP web services running in Xfire framework. All is delivered to us. Our code is running inside the framework, using the existing web service. Now I have an idea and not sure it is do-able. I wish I can expand the web service. For example, the current third party web service does not provide calculator service(just an example). I wish the web service has the following methods: int add(int a, int b) int multiply(int a, int b) Can I write some Java code as extra web service methods, create WAR file and deploy it to the Xfire server, without destroying the original services? I am new to SOAP web service. Just curious. Thank you.
