Restart with VFX. And just add to this. Look at 4e4th and Dirk's work on the MSP430 as well in the meantime. This actually triggered me into Forth again at the time as it was hardware related. And the German Forth group www.forth-ev.de, there Michael has done some examples and example code for MSP430. In a month or 2 we will have an application running on MSP430 doing a veeeeery small PLC. Then anybody can use this as a starting point, use parts of it, Input, Output, A/D, PWM D/A, might drive an RC Servo, program it. All even "offline" without a PC involved - fingers crossed. And people can modify the code as they like, but something defined to start with ... The application as such is in existence already, but running in Basic designed by Genius Burkhard Kainka, ported to C already by a friend and in the works for Forth. For people who want to know now what it is, Google Learning Programming with MyCo by Juergen Pintaske. And then all the 4 eBooks will fit together as much as possible, see http://amzn.to/1lM92cq

There is a lot more information available now regarding starting with Forth - and you got the 430 LITE Compiler now, and ARM LITE. Without those you would not have your questions ...
