Found the following link to something called 5. This is a cross between
Forth and APL. Found nothing else in a brief search but I suppose someone
here might have worked with one.

Hm, thank you -- it looks interesting... even if there's a dependency on
perl.

You didn't do ANY searching at all for this did you? ...

The comp.lang.forth FAQ clearly mentions 'vforth',
'UNIX-Forth', and 'C-Forth'.

Forth.org has a VAX FIG-Forth .pdf with source here:
http://www.forth.org/fig-forth/contents.html

There are eight old posts of UNIX-Forth to net.sources.
I posted links to these to c.l.f. in June 2011.
Here they are yet again:

There is also a bug fix for UNIX-Forth here:

There are four old posts of C Forth to mod.sources.
I posted links to these to c.l.f. in Mar 2012.
Here they are yet again:

In addition to searching around Forth.org, you might also try

AFAIK the suggestions of others were to relatively old Forth systems
that run on VAXes. If you want a Forth on an Alpha or IA-64 box under
OpenVMS, you could also try porting Gforth there; it runs on Alphas
and IA-64 boxes under various Unices, so some porting would be
required. We can help with the Gforth part, but know too little about
OpenVMS to do it ourselves (and we also have no account on an OpenVMS
box).
