Good job! Whilst I've not used 8th myself, I am impressed at the level
of commitment you have shown to this product. It's clearly maturing
into a reputable, "go to" software product, and does appear to offer
a modern alternative to Forth.

Good job!

Thanks for the updates, you sure keep them coming. I have used 8th in
simple terms as I'm becoming familiar with the language and features. I
don't find myself comfortable enough yet to write a complex application
with it but I'm getting closer and closer, my problem is finding the time.

Too many things going on right now but 8th is in my future of tools to
use for complex applications. My plans once I have more time is to use
it in experimenting with an optimizing code generator, 8th has a lot of
the features and tools built in that I feel I will need to get the job done.

I guess it's time to re-print the manual, I have always liked having a
book form of manuals even to browse through and become acquainted with
the features, though mostly I use the electronic ones to be able to
search for items of interest when coding.

Out of curiosity how is 8th written? In C, the core in C and maybe the
bulk in 8th itself or some other combination?

Keep safe, and keep coding.

The core is in C/C++, and more and more is written in 8th.

Congratulations! 8th brings fresh ideas to the Forth worls most certainly.

I am just wondering where dynamically growing stacks might be useful.
At first glance I am sceptical because I might miss stack overflow bugs,
or sometimes worse, valuable memory resources are claimed beyond my control.

Thank you.

Ah, but it eliminates them! On the other hand,

That is a more serious concern. The next release will allow to shrink a
stack manually.
