Why would a big-endian system need this more than a little-endian? groet Coos

What's the alternative - shifting bits.

This is not productive. Special symbols in math work because in math a formula is a two dimensional layout. Forth is one-dimensional. Remember the stress on pronunciation that makes it possible to communicate a Forth program over the phone? This of course has to do with the fact that Chuck Moore is vision- impaired. Groetjes Albert (I would hate to have to input unicode symbols in Forth.) -- Albert van der Horst, UTRECHT,THE NETHERLANDS Economic growth -- being exponential -- ultimately falters. albert@spe&ar&c.xs4all.nl &=n http://home.hccnet.nl/a.w.m.van.der.horst
