I'm not a collector, but I doubt that there is a single good place or even a few good places. Like any collecting, you're going to need to try everything and search everywhere. Some of the people who have what you want are probably very old and not online anymore and may be living in retirement communities or retirement homes. You're probably going to have to try any place that allows stuff to be sold, Alibaba, Amazon, eBay, Craigslist, Pinterest, Facebook, etc. After that, you're probably going to have to try any Usenet Group or Google Group, or forum or blog that allows people interested in Forth to converse. You'll probably have to ask for what you want to jog people's memory as their stuff is likely boxed up in a corner of the basement or attic or storage, and you'll need make a decent offer if it's available to get them to dig it out for you and ship it. You'll need to ask for leads to people who might have what you want. Then, it's time to place ads, scrounge garage sales, go to flea markets and ham fests or any place computer nostalgia is sold, and then track down people who were involved in the early communities who are still alive or their families. Of course, libraries will have books, magazine articles, etc available or preserved on microfilm, microfiche, dvds, etc. Of course, you could create your own event for collectors and spread the word far and wide at least a few years in advance so that there are plenty of buyers and sellers at your fair from around the world. You need to do it in advance to provide people with enough time to put it into their schedule and enough time for the word to spread. The internet is immediate, but it can take years before things are indexed by search engines and someone stumbles across it. It would be best if you located such an event in a historical location that had a large early Forth community to play on the nostalgia. You want to "go big" to pull in everybody. I hope those ideas help. Rod Pemberton
