My initial thought is to tell you to stop blaming Forth for your coding
failures or lack of coding, but I don't know how well Forth code handles
"servside web development."

(Was that too insensitive?)

Gav-no,

You really have two choices:

1) Do it yourself.
2) Find code for it on the web or from a company. Google is your
friend.

MPE and others have been shipping wen servers with server-side
scripting for others. MPE's PowerNet has had this for 20 years or so
and we've told this to Gavino more than once. IMHO he's a troll.

Free software is the ultimate capitalism.
Take capital/code, add value to it....and make more capital!

One may think that the number of apps written in a certain language is proportional to the number of users, but I would guess that it is some exponential function of the number of users. The more users, the the more interest and money and investments in apps.

If there were ten times more Forth users we would have all the apps and also a Forth Operating system. But Forth community seems to have developed to an elitist community which rather quarrel than cooperates.

This pains me.
I can be a bugger because I love to ask big questions and don't have any mental investment in doing things any 1 way.
I am also not a very experienced programmer.
I do see a lot of time and money spent for seemingly bad results.
I wish hugh would be nicer to Mrs Rather for example and everyone not bust on me without considering my questions.
Maybe I drunk posted some zingers in the past but hey I get insulted a lot too.
Insults and sarcasm are always a sign someone doesn't know the answer.
www.happstack.com
www.gonga.com
www.hypertable.org
www.freebsd.org
all seem awesome
I use freebsd and icewM fulltime now for years.
Linux seems a bit messier than BSD and I am linux expert....I do peep at alpine linux and archlinux from time to time to see what might pop up.....openbsd is also nice, and netbsd, dragonfly I had problems getting going and didn't feel like pushing through.
I hate oracle, and dont really like windows but its ok.
meneutos.net seems interesting!! assembler os suth gui in 1-2mb
has gui web browser...and at least usb2
