Some of my friends have android phones and tablets, for fun I checked the google play store, and sure enough, there were a few Forths available, most notable gforth. Myself, I am using an ipad, and the only local Forth I can use at the moment is (a very nice btw) a Jupiter Ace emulator. Now the Ace is quite awesome, even though it's the unexpanded version, leaving ~800 bytes or so of user dictionary space. I know Apples guidelines were very strict in the beginning, but they seem to have relaxed if ever so slightly. There are various Lua, Python and Ruby interpreters available on the app store nowadays. Has anyone in here ever though about implementing a Forth for the ipad/ios-devices? -- FORTH LOVE IF HONK THEN Rikard Lang

Bernd, can you hear me? (and my MPE based tutorial would be running as well for the beginners as it does with gforth now on the non-I tablet)

So whoever wants to make Gforth on iOS to happen, needs to buy me a device. iPad Mini Retina is probably the cheapest platform to try both 32 and 64 bit versions, otherwise an iPod Touch or so might do, too. -- Bernd Paysan "If you want it done right, you have to do it yourself" http://bernd-paysan.de/
