http://www.research.ibm.com/articles/brain-chip.shtml TrueNorth is an interesting looking architecture. The programming of this synaptic, non von Neumann architecture requires something quite new accoriding to the blurb; <quote> As a result, to harness TrueNorth, we have designed an end-to-end ecosystem complete with a new simulator, a new programming language, an integrated programming environment, new libraries, new (and old) algorithms as well as applications, and a new teaching curriculum (affectionately called, “SyNAPSE University”). </quote> I wonder if there's a Forth-like language that might work here? <quote>Philosophically, the corelet programming paradigm has affinity with Gottlob Frege’s Principle of Compositionality: "The meaning of a complex expression is a function of the meanings of its constituents and the way they are combined." http://www.research.ibm.com/software/IBMResearch/multimedia/IJCNN2013.corelet-language.pdf
