The Win32Forth metacompiler (yes, the target architecture is the same as
the source, but that needn't be the case) avoids supporting much of
anything beyond the management of the dictionary and name space. This is
a simplistic approach; you can use the target CREATE , ALIGN and so on,
but if you want a BUILD-CHILD in the source, then you need to explicitly
code BUILDER in the metacompiler using the appropriate target CREATE , W,
C, ALIGN words. (However, DOES> is excluded; it's complicated to support
and its use can be avoided. Words like VALUE are meta built "by hand"
rather than by using DOES>.)
