... it works as expected. 
Are you using Windows? (Not Linux and Wine)?
Are you using the proper Win32for binary?
What happens when you try to compile?
What happens when you try to execute  hi ?
What happens when you use MessageBox and not MessageBoxA ?
Do you know about the Yahoo Forth group?
