Last night I dreamed that I was coding the
http://www.nlg-wiki.org/systems/Mind.Forth
Robot AGI program for Artificial General Intelligence
and it went thrillingly well, because I could run the code
and see it display colorful results, so I was surely
dreaming in color. I had the dream several times,
and each time I would stop the program in order
to inspect the code that was performing so well.
Each time when I tried to eyeball the code, I woke up
and was sad to realize that there was no wonder-code --
it was all a dream. Then I fell asleep again and dreamed
it all over again. I must have been dreaming about what
happened yesterday, when I solved a bug in the
http://mind.sourceforge.net/audrecog.html
AudRecog module of my Forth AGI code by commenting-in
a line from my successful Perl AGI code and by then
translating this next line of Perl
if ($pho ne $aud[0]) { $ear[$i] = "$aud[0],0,$aud[2]" }
into the Forth that follows it:
I 0 ear{ @ pho @ = NOT IF 0 I 1 ear{ ! THEN
Both these lines of code perform the function of deactivating
any auditory phoneme that is not keeping up in the chain of
matching phonemes that serve to recognize a word that is
entering the artificial Perlmind or Forthmind. Before I translated
the line of Perl code into Forth, the Mind.Forth Robot AGI program
was falsely recognizing the word “make” as if it were “me”, because
both words start and end with the same character. The one line of
Perl code was re-expressed in Forth and got rid of the bug.
Thank God for the power of Perl, and thank Charles Moore
for creating Forth. Thank You for reading about my dreams
of coding Artificial General Intelligence.
