WHILE as an alias for IF is not ANS compliant without security, either.
Concerning security, it is certainly compliant to check the type of
CS-Items and whether the CS is balanced:
: foo if again ;
:3: expected dest
: foo if >>>again<<< ;
...
: bar begin ;
:4: unstructured
: bar begin >>>;<<<
...
