What is a Christian teaching like? It's all summed up from the
realization:

Christ's righteousness given to us, our sin given to Him
    https://twitter.com/DrStevenJLawson/status/826879446254809090

There cannot be better news than that. It is the gospel (the "good
news"):

The word "gospel" is Strong's 2098, euaggelion:
    http://biblehub.com/greek/2098.htm
Short Definition: the good news, the gospel

-----
To take the teaching a step further, so that it can be seen what
it's like to honor God with your life, ask yourself the question:

What exactly is it like to have a men's Bible Study? What goes
on in those teachings? Is it just reading the Bible? Is there
discussion? Is there a leader teaching? What is it?

Here Dr. Lawson teaches Bible Stud on Romans 1:8-13. He puts the
message of scripture into practical application in these, our
modern lives:

    http://www.onepassionministries.org/the-mens-bible-study/2017/1/19/january-5-romans-18-15

Watch the video. This link's video is a little over an hour. And
there are several more which follow.

A life of knowing Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord awaits you. It
begins with the first step.

Thank you,
Rick C. Hodgin

It is the love of Jesus Christ, who made you and everything, that wants
you to come to Him and ask forgiveness for your sin.

Do you have sin? The standard is the Bible's teachings. His standards.
If you have sin...you need to be forgiven. Jesus is the one who can
forgive you. All you have to do is believe and ask Him. He forgives
all who come to Him.

No matter what you've done, or how much, or how often, or how
recently, or to whom... Jesus WILL forgive you.

Love you,
Rick C. Hodgin

Somebody should help Rick out with fixing his broken newsreader.

For some reason, when he tries to post to religion newsgroups, the posts
ends up in comp.lang.c (of all places!).

I assume you mean: s/internet/Usenet/

Anyway, it sounds like his newsreader breakage is worse than we thought.
Maybe he needs to do an update/upgrade.

Read the things I write, and ask yourself: why does he do it? Why
teach others about Jesus?

It's not for nothing. It's the reverse. It's for everything.

We are not your psychiatrist, therefor we do not ask ourselves such
questions. But you should visit him and ask him. Maybe he can help you
better than your invisible friend.

Your reply is witty. I like that. :-)

I write these things about Jesus because I care about you. I want you
to not be judged for your sin, but to be forgiven for your sin so that
you too can enter into Heaven when you leave this Earth, to be with the
one who made the entire universe and everything in it, forever.

He wants you to be with Him in His Kingdom. He wants you to share in
all He has created, to see the fullness of it all.

The Bible teaches we will be married to Him in eternity, which has the
same effect marriages do here on Earth (all that is his becomes theirs,
and all that is hers becomes theirs, so that they are no longer separate,
but one, with joint ownership of all). God wants us to possess and
occupy everything He's created. In fact, it was all created for us. It
wasn't just created to create stuff. It was all created so that we could
have a place to fellowship with Him.

He sends men and women like me into your life to teach you these things
so that you'll have the opportunity to repent of your sin and be saved.
He sends us because He cares about you and wants to give you the same
opportunity He gives everyone: to be forgiven, to be redeemed, and to
no longer fear death.

Thank you,
Rick C. Hodgin

As long as you regard it only as a storybook, that's all it will ever be.

If you seek the truth, and examine its contents from within that seeking,
you'll find it is God's book of life given to us. It teaches us about God,
about man, about sin, about judgment, about condemnation, and about the
amazing gift of salvation.

When Jesus was born a chorus of angels appeared in the sky one night,
announcing the good tidings of great joy, Luke 2:8-20:

    http://biblehub.com/kjv/luke/2.htm

Because Jesus was born, we no longer have to face God's wrath for our
sin. We can be forgiven, and redeemed to be with Him in His Kingdom
(a literal paradise).

-----
That's what the Bible teaches all those who seek the truth about:
Redemption from sin through God's only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

Thank you,
Rick C. Hodgin

It's not the preaching you need to listen to, it's the message.

You will find someday that you did indeed need to listen to that
message. It doesn't come from me. It comes from Him through me.
And, is it important.

I pray you find out sooner, rather than later. One ends wonderfully,
in wonders beyond imagination, and the other ends badly, in horrors
beyond imagination.

It's preaching. And there are civilians and citizens who don't wanna be
caught in religions. A SIMPLE sometimes naive life does NOT need holiness.

What I'm trying to teach you is that you DO need Jesus Christ.

What I'm trying to teach you is that if you READ the Bible and SEEK the
truth, then YOU will realize what I'm teaching you FOR YOURSELF. You
don't need me or anyone else to teach you this information. But because
you DO NOT know it today, God has us here trying to get your attention,
trying to point you to Him so that you will come to this knowledge on
your own.

You WILL FIND one day that you DO NEED Jesus Christ, and that the reason
why you don't think you do today is because there's an active enemy of
God teaching that message. And, because of sin, you're hearing it instead
of the message of God, because you won't listen to the message of God
because of sin.

The way out is to just set your sights on the truth and press in to find
it. God Himself will then lead you to it.

Thank you,
Rick C. Hodgin

You are harming me in walking away, but not in the way you think. I am
harmed in that by your choice you refuse that which God has offered you.

And what I'm trying to teach you is that you are destroying your own
eternal soul in so by walking away from the Lord Jesus Christ.

DO NOT look to me. Look to Him.
DO NOT trust my words. Trust His words.
DO NOT follow any man. Follow only Jesus Christ.

I am not "Your Holiness". I am Rick, a prayerful servant of God, as by
His own call to me, and not by my own doing. If I am anything in His
Kingdom, it is only because He has made me so. Rick, the man, seeks to
harm himself, harm you, harm everyone. But Christ living within me has
turned that man around, so that I now wish to help myself, help you, and
help everyone.

Thank you,
Rick C. Hodgin

There is teaching by the enemy of God that there are multiple gods which
are the one true God. It is true there are multiple gods (plural, lower-
case "g"). But there is only one God Almighty.

God Almighty is the one I serve. You learn that He is that one true God
by reading the Bible and comparing what He teaches us there with what is
really happening in our lives, and in this world.

You'll find an all-powerful being, He who is God. He is God the Father,
God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit in one (just as we are soul, body,
spirit).

His power and authority are over all things, both physical things, and
spiritual things.

Thank you,
Rick C. Hodgin
