Iff there were some other kind of cast than a (type)cast, thenn it could be useful to specify which one was being referenced. But there isn't.

I never remember either, but an online search for "n1256" gets to the right place. Substitute n1570 for n1256 in that url, and that's the latest draft (n1256.pdf being the most recent revision of C99).

There are a couple of publicly available drafts of the ANSI C89
standard:
http://port70.net/~nsz/c/c89/c89-draft.html
http://flash-gordon.me.uk/ansi.c.txt
Both are drafts of the ANSI C89, not ISO C90, standard, which means
that the sections are numbered differently and some ISO-specific
boilerplate material is missing. I don't know how much they differ
from the released standard.
n1256.pdf consist of the released C99 standard plus the three Technical
Corrigenda. It's actually a better version of the C99 standard (for
most purposes) than the official one.
n1570.pdf is pre-release draft of the C11 standard. The differences
between it and the published standard are minor. There has been one
Technical Corrigendum, not included either in N1570 or in the published
standard; it corrects the definitions of __STDC_VERSION__ and
__STDC_LIB_EXT1__, defining both as 201112L.
