You have no knowledge of Jesus Christ, Richard. If you believe you do, then you are being deceived by demons into believing upon a false Jesus, one that was invented by demons and is not the real Savior. Repent, Richard. Ask Jesus to forgive you. And take up your cross and follow Him in this world, remembering this: in 100 years, what will any of this C stuff matter compared to those burning in Hell? Or living in Heaven? If not 100 years, how about 1,000 years? How about 10,000 years? What is truly important in our lives? And you must realize that a man cannot be divided in two. He is the sum of who He is in all he does. If he comes to computer programming as a Christian, then he is a Christian computer programmer and will bring Jesus Christ with him. If he is a computer programmer and a servant of the devil, then he will try to keep Jesus Christ out of everything he does, dividing himself in two. A house divided cannot stand, and a man truly cannot divide himself. Anyone who divides himself in this way is not truly divided, but is a unified whole on the camp of evil. Repent, Richard. And live... Best regards, Rick C. Hodgin

We had a brief exchange of e-mails. It ended up with me asking him "How do you know I am a sinner?" him replying "Because we are all sinners." me responding "How do you know we are all sinners?" and him punting "I cannot answer your question." So I was wrong about one thing - he doesn't have inferior theology. He has no theology at all. I think I'll go change into my shorts - its hot today.

I could just as well be Muslim if the Islamic community would shed its barnacles and live up to its ideal. I give no authority to any of the old books. The best of them (Job, Q) seem to be valid records of men's experiences of the deity but they are only human records - no more authoritative than the Quran or many other non-Christian books. I am a radical unitarian. I believe there is nothing in super-nature except the deity - no angels, no trinity, no devil. And, of course, there is no Hell. When you are willing to seek the truth, David, you WILL find it. That is a promise from God, not me. But until you are willing to seek the truth, you will never find it, and you will be wrapped up in a delusion until the day of your death where you will be summoned by name to appear before a holy, holy, holy God, Judged, and then cast into the lake of fire forever. This is the fate that awaits all people who will not hear the truth, will not pursue the truth, who are willing to hold on to and embrace a lie, and are therefore deceived by Satan and his vast cadre of lies, all of which are leading blind people to their death in Hell, along with him and his sorry self. Iam a sinner saved by Grace. The One I am pointing you to has to give you. And as I say, when you are willing to seek the truth truly, you will find Him ... or rather, He will already be there waiting for you, as He has been your whole life. I pray you do see the truth. And whatever you do, do not follow me. Follow Him. Best regards, Rick C. Hodgin <rick.c.hodgin@gmail.comwrote: You are a sinner. You have done things which are against God's laws. Because of this, you will pay the price of sin. The only way out of that end is to find someone else to pay the price for your sin. And the only one God has given us to do that is His Son, Jesus Christ, because He was born without our sin nature. The punishment for committing one act of sin is eternity in Hell. The punishment for committing a billion acts of sin is still that same eternity in Hell. As such, Jesus was able to take on all sin, for all those He will save, and die one time for it all, thereby satisfying the law of God, and setting us free. The tests are the basic tests. You've heard them on TV from Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron. Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stolen anything? Have you ever lusted after someone who was not your wife? Or was the wife of another man? Have you ever had sex outside of marriage? We all answer "Yes" to one of the questions of "Have you ever...?" with regards to God's laws. But even apart from that we need only look at our sin nature. Death is in the world. Evil is here. It's not just roses and lollipops, but there's death, disease, hate, wrath, etc. It is the world of the fallen. The world sin has created. You need a savior because you are a sinner. Same as me. Same as everyone. The Bible speaks about the story of Noah. When he was building the ark, it says that the people on the Earth were going about their daily lives, marrying and giving away in marriage, until the day the rains came. These were people who were living their lives just fine. They had happy times with friends, family. They were getting married. Or going to weddings. Or buying gifts to give at weddings. Et cetera. But they were not saved because they were all in rebellion against God. There is a way that seems right to a man, but the ends thereof are the ways of death. You must pursue God to be on the right path, and specifically you must pursue His Son, who is called Faithful and True. He and He alone leads me rightly, for He is the only name given under Heaven whereby we must be saved. You can see it in His life as recorded in scripture. And for those who seek the truth, and find it, you can feel it in His presence. You can see it in His movement in the world around you. His ways are not our ways, but they are eternal, holy, and purposed on life. Why do men do things? For men's reasons. Why does God do things? For God's reasons, which also include men's interests because God is exceedingly capable. With Jesus Christ, we only need read about Him to see that He is not like other men. Napoleon Bonaparte (of all people) said this of Jesus Christ, "I know men, and I tell you that Jesus Christ is not a man." He said this because Jesus was not as a man, even though He was physically a man. He was as God, concerned with teaching, willing to die for His people, a leader that had no armies, no great strength to overcome in His physical body (the last portion of His carrying the cross to the place of His crucifixion, another came and helped Him), no great charisma so as to move men by His charm (the Bible says he was without comeliness, that there were no aspects of his physical appearance that would be appealing to men). What drove Him was His faith in God the Father, in the relationship of love He has with God the Father. It was a true man experience with God, the example for us all. And the amazing part is this ... He, the Father, and the Holy Spirit, are all one. It is as our nature: soul, body, spirit. He is The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit. I tell you all of this so that He can speak to your heart and confirm my words with teachings you remember from your past, or those things you will hear in the future. Continue seeking, David. He is never far away. He is as far away as you keep Him. Best regards, Rick C. Hodgin ----- On Fri, Jun 26, 2015 at 3:29 PM, David Kleinecke <d.........@gmail.comwrote: How do you know I am a sinner? We are spiritually blind being led by a homicidal maniac (Satan) who is leading the whole world astray. Until we set our hearts on knowing the truth, and until we come to know Jesus Christ, we will forever be blinded by the deception, condemned for all eternity. To answer your big question: Through faith. http://biblehub.com/romans/10-17.htm "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." http://biblehub.com/hebrews/11-1.htm "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence ofthings not seen." It is a gift from God for those who will seek the truth, those who are born again. The natural man will never have it, except as is the way of natural faith (faith that when I sit down in this chair it won't collapse because it has no strength). The faith of spiritual things come from discernment of the spirit, which only comes from having the spirit, which only comes from the born again nature. It is God Himself who confirms His own existence through faith. He does this naturally in the world also by the manifold miracles all around us, the signature of His creation, the beauty we see in nature when it is not corrupted by man, and by man's sin effects (such as in the young, healthy of God's creations, the peak of their strength, grace, and beauty, but it is sin which carries it beyond that into death, weakness, destruction, things that are fading in beauty, etc.). In Jesus is life, and the life He restores in us is eternal. Faith is the believer's guide. It is a gift from Him for all who will seek the truth. And as the old saying goes: "For those who have faith, no explanation is necessary. For those who do not have faith, no explanation is sufficient." Best regards, Rick C. When people post to a Usenet group, there is an understanding (although, as far as I know, it hasn't been tested in court) that their text may be quoted (with proper attribution) in replies. No such understanding applies to email. If he felt like it, he could sue you. I don't suppose he will, of course, but he *could*. And he might even win. But, as I say, I don't suppose he'll sue. Nevertheless, it was discourteous to post private correspondence in a public setting without permission. Similarly, it is discourteous to post proselytising articles in a technical forum. I posted this when Rick accused a very smart hardware architect of being a sinner over on comp.arch: https://groups.google.com/d/msg/comp.arch/V1PRvI3U7vU/YUXVL3Vd5nIJ My only advise to Rick is to try and have some compassion on people he think are infected with some "evil" entity. Here is the text I wrote. FWIW, I think the hardware architect is an atheist, however, he gave me a nice response, and I think we are in agreement with the single commandment of living a good life. Good in the SANE sense of good of course! ;^o <possible moronic ramblings: warning!> However, I believe this God is an archmaster mathematician and physicist that knows how to cleverly use and analyze chaotic systems in multiple points in order to simulate a form of “free will”. IMVHO, God is hypersmart, and a very nice and interesting entity to talk to. So, the rule is to live a good life, and this God lets you talk to it, and invites you to a very nice place indeed. You get to hang around friends that have long passed away; animal, insect, human, ect... However, there happens to be a “jail” in the “very nice place”. God also talks to evil people after death. Heck, it can simultaneously communicate with every creature, in spirit or physical form, in all the “inhabitable” planets, in every universe. If one can truly live forever after it passes away, and there is life after death along with a Jail, it might be at risk wrt God giving it a sentence in said Jail. If, and only if, one “gets away” with evil in physical form, then God will have a fair conversation with it after physical death and give an appropriate sentence . Since ones soul can live forever, the sentence can be very long indeed: Imagine a 50,000 year jail sentence, with a 1000 year “thought” probation once it gets out. One more point, in this scheme, God happens to be a 100% fair judge. Therefore, live a good life and one can avoid jail after death for the crap it may have committed and did not get caught for during its physical time within a universe. If one gets sent to jail in psychical form for something it did not do, there is a possible awesome reward in the very nice place...There can be errors akin to evil, for the system is radically chaotic. However, the errors have the ability to “self-correct”! </possible moronic ramblings: warning!> Is this complete and utter garbage to an Atheist? IMVHO, I guess an Atheist can simply throw out the “God” word, and just try to “agree” with the following sentence: “Living a good life is a good thing.” That is the only commandant in this scheme. Understanding the in's and out's of the “sane” meaning of the word `good', and realize that Good is better than Evil. Sorry if I have pissed a bunch of people off here! ;^(

The definition of Christianity and heresy was settled beginning in the 12th century and continues to this day. It was called the Inquisition but it has another name now in your "civilized world". People were put to death for having doctrine contrary to what the Catholic Church held to be the "Truth". Rick's "Truth" is no different from that insofar as he says "seek the Truth and you will know it". This is the great problem with religion: Who speaks for God? When God speaks to man, is it God or Satan? Who has the right to decide that one man is a prophet and another possessed or delusional? You can thank the followers of Calvin and Luther for the protestant sects and the propagation of these faiths in the new world. You can also thank them for the ethos that gave rise to America and that same ethos drove them to defend your "civilized world" from Nazism and Communism in the 20th century, surely your "civilized world" wouldn't put people to death for being different or having a religion different from the majority, would it? Your "civilized world" wouldn't have kings or princes or emperors who would sacrifice the lives of human beings for wealth or personal glory, would it? I'm so happy you feel comfortable in your civilized world.

Geoff, it is an act of God to give life to a dead man. Jesus Christ takes away sin for all those who believe in Him. And no one can come to Him except the Father in Heaven draw that person. The Father searches hearts and minds to see and know who we truly are, and if we will believe the truth, ask forgiveness, and be saved. For all who will, He moves super- naturally (spiritually) in their life, drawing them from within to His Son, and their salvation. Everyone else will perish in Hell because they would not let go of their sin. They did not want to seek the truth, but instead they wanted what they wanted over all other guidance and reproof. It's why Christians speak to people, and why so few hear the message. It is not a message the natural man can receive. It requires an act of God to "power on" that part of a person's invisible qualities which then make it possible for him/her to hear the significance of God's call upon their life. I'm sorry if you cannot hear it. I offer you hope though: ALL who will be saved, will be saved. God the Father will draw all men who will ask forgiveness to His Son. And all who go to His Son asking forgiveness will be saved. The rest will not. I pray for each of you on clc, that you too will humble yourself before God, admit you are a sinner in need of forgiveness, ask Him for forgiveness, and in so doing be saved. Repentance is from within. It is a gift of God. Best regards, Rick C. Hodgin
